WORK FROM HOME (OR HOME AWAY FROM HOME).
The idea that employees need to report to an office every day strikes us as fundamentally… wrong. That’s why we don’t have one— every Swoogo employee is free to work from where they like, whether that’s their living room in Louisiana, a coworking space Cleveland, or a café in Copenhagen. As long as you have wifi and can report for normal business hours (9-6 EST, whatever those may be in your location), you’re good to go.
We look at our culture as a galaxy. Each of our teams— marketing (the spider), sales (the fisher), customer success (the ox), and product (the giraffe)— thrive under their own set of values. Not all teams can function with the exact same code, and we think that’s pretty cool. But at the end of the day, there are some values we all share: Ownership, leadership, creativity, empathy, agility, and transparency.
What does that mean? It means we embrace the entrepreneurial spirit in everyone, and we know that the best ideas can come from anywhere. We communicate openly, and we’re always ready to try something new to find a new solution. It means our teams may not interact every single day, but we always have each other’s backs. Work hard (but not too hard)
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, or so they say. We try not to work more than 40 hours a week, and every employee gets 14 days of PTO— that we actually want you to take. Plus, we get that life happens; you’ll never be penalized for needing to run to a doctor’s appointment or pick your kid up from school. Promise.
