Community Manager, Remote

A highly focused, fully-remote event marketing software startup. Our clients expect us to be an events industry thought leader, always on the edge of new ideas with an unconventional viewpoint— and that’s pretty much what we expect from you.

We’re looking for an outgoing, extroverted, super talented communicator to join our Marketing Team as a Community Manager.

This person should know how to talk. the. talk, but be comfortable doing it in our brand voice. They should have a knack for selling, with an ear towards not being salesy. They must love the sound of their own voice, even when it’s coming through a keyboard; we’re looking for a big-time-talker with an uncanny knack for sussing out the conversations we should be involved in.

The Community Manager will:

  • Help craft our brand’s look, feel, and tone across various social media channels

  • Develop a monthly social media calendar to keep our accounts active and engaging across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  • Identify important company news and announcements to bump to the top of our social pipeline

  • Crawl LinkedIn, Facebook, Quora, Reddit and other platforms for conversations where Swoogo may be able to add value (even if it’s only comedic value), and continue engaging in those conversations where appropriate.

  • Answer direct messages that come through all social media channels

  • Act as the first point of contact and guide for potential leads who come in through chat on our website.

  • Attend industry events to network and extend the Swoogo brand among industry peers (will require occasional travel)

The Community Manager has:

  • 1-2 years experience in sales, marketing, or a field you can convince us relates

  • Experience in software/tech (or at least be technologically savvy)

  • Active personal social media accounts— a proven love for social

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • The ability to network confidently at in-person events

It would be a bonus if they:

  • Have previously managed a b-to-b brand on social media

  • Have a professional writing portfolio including short and long form content

  • Have previously worked in or around events

  • Have experience in branding or brand building

What we bring to the table:

  • Competitive Pay

  • 14 days PTO (accrued annually) plus company holidays

  • Health Insurance

  • Remote office

  • Super-positive team culture with a smart and passionate team

  • Bi-annual all hands off site. We’ve done Lisbon, Newport, and Atlanta. Ideas for the next one?

Catching our vibe? Shoot your resume to and let us know what we're gonna love about you.
